The tripod uses a special aluminum-magnesium alloy. This reduced the tripod's weight while increasing its strengthcorrosion resistanceand fatigue strength (the ability of a material to withstand stress over time).
The hub is crafted from magnesium alloy and coated with high-temperature powder paint. The increased hub size provides additional strength and stability. The hub is threaded for mounting various equipment (lightsmicrophonesmonitorsetc.).
A central column provides additional height. A metal lock ensures a secure fit and minimizes vibration at the top of the extended column.
